Delves puts forward the idea that through the pursuit of knowledge by means of the scientific method, human understanding has the potential to make boundless progress.

Deutsch posits that all problems are solvable and that solutions give rise to new questions and challenges, leading to an unending journey of discovery (hence the “beginning of infinity”). He suggests that the progress of knowledge, driven by good explanations that are hard to vary (see his other book “The Fabric of Reality”), can lead to infinite advancements in understanding and technology.

Can it get any more profound than that?
